Here it is! Our first look at the new Xbox One S.

Beyond the description we don’t know much. It is a lot smaller, 40%, and that is a very good thing. The original Xbox One was always an ugly looking thing and massive too, looks ungainly under the biggest television. A 2TB hard drive is also incredibly welcome, anyone who bought a new console at launch knows the 500GB memory was nowhere near enough for games with a 40GB download as standard these days.

4K video and HDR are other new features. It claims to have a ‘streamlined’ controller but at first glance it looks pretty much the same.

Looks wise this is definitely an improvement and these other new features might be enough to make someone who previously wanted an Xbox One but wasn’t sure to make the jump to Microsoft.

There will be more details about the One S from Microsoft’s E3 conference next week.
