WWE 2K20’s 1.02 Patch Tries To Patch Things Up

Will this fix 2K20?

WWE 2K20 review

Wrestling fans and sports-gamers alike have been lobbying for 2K to fix WWE 2K20. Since its release, numerous bugs and glitches have almost rendered the game unplayable, making it one of the most criticised sports games of all time. Very few titles have ever needed such a vast patch so soon after release, but 2K have worked around the clock to ensure that as many issues are solved in Patch 1.02.

Below are the list of issues addressed within the 1.02 patch.

  • Gameplay and Controls
  • Graphics and Clipping
  • Hair Physics
  • Hit detection and aiming
  • Interactions with tables, ladders, steel steps, and other objects
  • Referee actions
  • Onscreen button prompts
  • Characters “warping” or moving unnaturally around the arena
  • Crashes and Freezing
  • Image downloads
  • Entrances and attires
  • Universe mode editing and saving
  • Custom and Created Superstars and creation modes
  • Commentary and sound effects
  • Online Stability, matchmaking, desyncs, and lag

This pretty much covers all bases when it comes to the criticism WWE 2K20 has received over the past week, most notable the warping and physics problems found in most matches. Fans will also be pleased to see the return of image downloads, hopefully making it easier for CAW creators to start churning out the roster emissions.

Patch 1.02 is live now for all consoles and copies of WWE 2K20.

From our WWE 2K20 review:

“It’s a disjointed and unpolished experience that I can have a lot of fun with, but I may not uninstall WWE 2K19 just yet in case 2K20 stays like this.”
