World’s Edge: Apex Legends Season 3 Will Have A New Map

And it looks vibrant.

Apex Legends Season 3

While sharing the launch trailer for Season 3 of Apex Legends, which will be called Meltdown, Respawn revealed that we will be transported to a new map.

Going by the name of World’s Edge residing on the Planet Talos, the new map will feature distinct fire and ice biomes and generally look a lot more vibrant than Kings Canyon.

Here’s the description:

Welcome to World’s Edge, a new Apex Legends map where molten heat and chemical ice collide. Join our cast of Legends – including the newest Legend, Crypto – on the dropship as they’re whisked from Planet Solace towards World’s Edge on Planet Talos.

The Arena change is the work of Crypto, who destroyed the Kings Canyon tower in Season 2, leading to a lot of wreckage and displacement across the map. Crypto will be the new Legend for Season 3.

What’s interesting here is that Fortnite Season 11 is suspected to have a new map, so two of the biggest battle royales in the world could feel very fresh this October.

Apex Legends Season 3 kicks off on October 1st for PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One.

From our Apex Legends review:

“Even the most jaded of battle royale fans will find their interest rejuvenated by Apex Legends thanks to Respawn’s attention to detail, superior gunplay, and fantastic innovations, though the loot boxes and progression system certainly need addressing.”
