Watch Tommy Wiseau’s Joker Audition Tape

A little while ago we bought you news that The Room’s Tommy Wiseau was campaigning for the role of the Joker in the upcoming Joker origins movie, and how he’s taken it one step further by actually recording an audition tape.

Revealed by Nerdist, the video features Wiseau in full Joker getup as he recites many of the Clown Prince of Crime’s iconic lines from the movies, whilst adding his very own brand of craziness. And if things couldn’t already get crazy enough, Greg Sestero, who played Mark in The Room, appears as Batman.

The elusive Wiseau, who still refuses to reveal his date of birth or his country of origin, has been making a huge comeback since the success of last year’s biographical picture The Disaster Artist. He’ll next be seen alongside Sestero in the two part movie Best F(r)iends, and also headlined the music video for the song Scary Love by The Neighbourhood. We may not know where he’s originally from, but he certainly appears to be living the American Dream.

Whoever does play the Joker in the upcoming origins film (Warner Bros. are apparently leaning towards Joaquin Phoenix), one thing’s for sure: the video below is the craziest thing you’ll see all day. That, and the fact that Wiseau is still better than Jared Leto.
