The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt Could Make Its Way To The Switch

Portable Geralt, possibly?

The Witcher 3

You’re probably already asking “how would that be possible?” but here we go anyway: a new rumour that’s popped up over on ResetEra suggests that The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt will be making its way to the Nintendo Switch this September. The rumour is based on a variety of Chinese game distributors offering a listing for the Switch version of The Witcher 3.

With E3 coming up fast, it would be the perfect time for Nintendo to drop the bombshell that one of the greatest games ever made would be making its way to the Switch, but it’ll be interesting to see how CD Projekt Red would make that work. The Switch has hosted some impressive ports of the likes of Skyrim, Wolfenstein, DOOM and more, but The Witcher 3 seems like it would have to undergo even more significant downgrades in order to work, especially in the portable mode.

That said, other rumours have suggested that Nintendo are planning on announcing multiple new versions of the Nintendo Switch, one of which that actually offers more power than the original version. Perhaps that will be able to handle the demands of The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt.
