Mortal Kombat 11 DLC News Set For Next Week

"If all goes well", anyway.

After a successful launch of Mortal Kombat 11, though the less said about The Krypt, the better, NetherRealm Studios are gearing up to announce the DLC characters for MK 11’s Kombat Pass, or at least the ones that’ll be joining Shang Tsung. In a tweet from Ed Boon, the series creator suggests we could hear about the other 5 members of the DLC roster as early as next week.

Interestingly, Boon says we should hear about the DLC characters next week “if all goes well”, which is interesting. Either the full DLC roster is still in flux, and NetherRealm are finalising who’ll be joining the roster, or Boon is just hopeful that the reveal trailer will be completed by next week. If the Injustice reveal trailers are any indication, it could be a very impressive trailer indeed.

Personally, we’re hoping that NetherRealm are still fine tuning the roster, specifically with regards to guest characters. The DLC roster allegedly leaked online a while ago, with big names like Ash from The Evil Dead, Spawn and The Terminator all referenced. While that’s not outside the realm of possibility, as MK X saw Jason Voorhees fight The Predator, it’d just be nice to see DLC characters that haven’t already been leaked. Either way, who are you hoping will make an appearance as DLC in Mortal Kombat 11, and why are you already pestering Ed Boon about Mileena? Sound off in the comments.
