Allow us to express a bit of jealousy at our friends over in the East, as a special edition of Samurai Shodown has been announced that’s pretty cool. Available exclusively via their online store, SNK have announced the Samurai Spirits Junmai Ginjo Sake bundle, which comes with the PS4 version of the game and a big bottle of premium booze to wash it down with. Considering Samurai Shodown is called Samurai Spirits, it’s an apt bundle.
A “Junmai Ginjo” sake is a premium bottle of sake created with no additional preservatives, so basically SNK are giving out bottles of the good stuff. Unfortunately, the bundle is exclusive to Japan, but if SNK feel like bringing the bundle over to the West, I’d buy it. I’ll even review it; I’ve been looking for reasons to get drunk on the Cultured Vultures dime.
In the meantime, those in the West who purchase Samurai Shodown before June 30th will get the Season Pass for free, which is a nice incentive anyway. Samurai Shodown will be available on June 25th for PS4 and Xbox One, with a Nintendo Switch and PC release scheduled for later on in the year. Are you jealous about the boozy Samurai Shodown bundle?
