Nintendo Reportedly Launching Two New Switch Models

Take this with a pinch of salt.

Nintendo Switch

According to a new report from The Wall Street Journal, Nintendo are planning to launch two new version of the Switch. One version will be a lower budget model designed for more casual players while the other version will reportedly be a higher spec model, though it’s noted that it won’t be as powerful as the Xbox One or PS4.

The cheaper model will omit certain features like the vibrate function, while the more expensive version will include more enhanced features, those of which haven’t yet been outlined. The report suggests that Nintendo are looking to launch these consoles this year, possibly during the Summer, while the sales of the Nintendo Switch are still strong.

At the moment, there’s a chance this is just a rumour, but with the various iterations of the Xbox One and PS4 available on the market right now, it’s not exactly unheard of. Would you be interested in a new version of the Nintendo Switch? Let us know in the comments below.
