"A brawl is surely brewing!"

During today’s Nindies Showcase, it was announced that the former Microsoft exclusive Cuphead will be making its way to the Nintendo Switch on April 18th, with pre-purchase for the game available right now. Guess I’m buying Cuphead a second time around, but it’s worth it for StudioMDHR’s epic shoot ’em up.

While no mention was made of the upcoming DLC pack The Delicious Last Course, which is scheduled to launch on Xbox One and PC, the Nintendo Switch version will allow you to play as either Cuphead or Mugman, along with some never before seen art and cutscenes, making Cuphead on the Switch a much more complete experience.

We reviewed Cuphead on the Xbox One when it came out in 2017, and found it to be a charming and delightful side scrolling shooter, even if it was pretty difficult.

We’ve been waiting years for Cuphead, and it’s been totally worth it. Some issues with the run and gun levels do dampen the overall experience, but not to any significant degree. Cuphead is challenging, exciting and most importantly, enjoyable.
