The Guerrilla Collective’s Digital Event Delayed Until Next Week

The delay ensures Black Lives Matter still has a platform.

Guerrilla Collective

The digital E3-like event The Guerrilla Collective have announced that their scheduled June 6th-8th festival has now been delayed until June 13th-15th. This delay gives the Black Lives Matter movement the space to ensure that their voices are heard, and that the worldwide protests are still given a platform. The news comes from the below tweet.

The statement reads: “The Guerrilla Collective came together to create a space where all find a voice to support each other, our industry, and our work. It is the cumulative effort of incredibly diverse teams unified in the creation of a digital event to bring hope and positive content to the world. We recognize this is a time for action and for voices speaking out for justice and change to be heard. We stand united for change, for justice, and in support of Black Lives Matter.”

The Guerrilla Collective will be hosting a stream on June 7th, with said stream focusing on showcasing games made by black creators, or games featuring black protagonists. More details about that stream will be shared soon. Will you be tuning in to The Guerrilla Collective, either this weekend or next weekend? Sound off in the comments down below.
