Super Rare Games have announced the next game they’ll be releasing a physical edition for, and it’s the indie rhythm game Old School Musical. I don’t know too much about it, but the press release had a picture of a shirtless dude dancing, so that might colour your opinion one way or the other.
Old School Musical is a bonkers tale that features 50 chiptune tracks from artists such as Dubmood, Zabutom, Hello World, Yponeko, and Le Plancton, along with a story mode that spans 20 unique levels, each of them filled with a host of references to classic video games. Also, there’s “32 different chicken types to fight” if you feel like channeling your inner Peter Griffin.
The Super Rare Games print version of Old School Musical will include all previously released DLC packs, including Chicken Party Mix, Toricity and the recent MV Expo song pack. The physical version also features a full colour manual, interior artwork and exclusive sticker, along with three trading cards out of a five card set. Only 4000 copies will be available, with pre-orders kicking off on the Super Rare Games website at 6pm BST on July 30th. The game will cost around £27 + tax, which translates to around $31 USD.
