Street Fighter 6’s launch roster might have raised a few eyebrows when people saw that Dee Jay was added to the base game over some more popular characters. Dee Jay hasn’t had many appearances in Street Fighter games previously, with his last proper appearance being in Super Street Fighter IV, but Capcom have decided to give this legacy character another chance to find fans, and we’re grateful for it, as his fun-loving style is on full display in Street Fighter 6.

Of course, not only is Dee Jay a playable character in the game, but Street Fighter 6’s resident party starter can also be a master for your created avatar in the single-player World Tour mode. If you want to utilise this unique, combo heavy kickboxing style, this how to have Dee Jay become your master in Street Fighter 6’s World Tour Mode.

Like Blanka, you can unlock Dee Jay as your master in Chapter 6. After failing to rescue Bosch from the clutches of Juri, your default mentor Luke suggests you take a bit of a sabbatical, seeing the sights from around the world. Two locations will then unlock on the World Map, the Ranger’s Hut in Brazil and Bathers Beach in Jamaica.

Head over to the beach and you’ll trigger a cutscene of your player avatar not really understanding this human notion of dancing, drawing the ire of Mr Fun In The Sun, Dee Jay. After the cutscene, you’ll be forced into a match against Dee Jay. Win, and then after you’ve been given control of your character speak to him again and he’ll agree to teach you in the way of the rhythm.

Street Fighter 6 is available now on PC, PS4, PS5 and Xbox Series X & S.
