If you thought you were good at video games, you ain’t seen nothing yet. The YouTuber known as seeker TV was able to complete Prey in an astonishing 6 minutes and 59 seconds. I shit you not. Watch the video below if you don’t believe me.
Yup, the game which supposedly takes between 15-20 hours to beat has now been finished in record time. There’s probably going to be a ton more Prey speedruns hitting the net in the near future, although I think they’re going to have a hard time topping the 6:59:50 timer above.
I almost dread to think what the person behind seeker TV would accomplish if you put one of the Dark Souls games into their hands. It took me a full 6 years to reach the end credits of The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time, so seeing Prey being completed so quickly almost makes me want to put away my controller in shame.
Prey was developed by Dishonored’s Arkane Studios and was published by Bethesda. If you have yet to experience the madness of the alien-infested Talos I space station for yourself, you can purchase the game both on Steam and consoles. And you really should give it a go, because it’s spectacular. Even if it can be finished in under 7 minutes.
