The Red Mask is an item in Sons of the Forest that can be crafted at the 3D Printer. Players can spend 150ml of Printer Resin to craft it after a 15 second wait, but it’s clear what it actually does once it’s in your inventory. You can equip it, but what’s its purpose?
Well, the Red Mask is basically a disguise that will help you to avoid detection from the island’s cannibals. It’s not a perfect disguise, as they will twig on to the truth if you hang around for too long and you also won’t be able to just wear it after they’ve already seen you, but it’s good at helping you slip past a patrol undetected.
To use the Red Mask, just find it in the top left of your inventory, then left click to equip it in your right hand. Hold down the left mouse button to hold the mask to your face and keep you disguised.
