Weapons are crucial for survival in Sons of the Forest and very few weapons can match the trusty Pistol. But one of the biggest problems with the weapon is that it creates too much noise and attracts enemy attention. If you want to use a ranged weapon like the Pistol, we recommend obtaining the Pistol Silencer to properly suppress the sounds as much as possible.
Having a silencer can offer you a tactical advantage and keep you safe from unalerted enemies. Here is how you can obtain a silencer for the pistol in Sons of the Forest.
There are two silencers for pistols in the game and you can go to either location. The silencers are very easy to obtain and you do not have to worry about fighting too many enemies. We will go over both locations so you can grab whichever silencer you want.
The first silencer for your pistol can be obtained in Maintenance Site B. You can follow the map marker in the image below using your GPS locator to head to the area.
After you are in the right location, start using your shovel and dig the ground. You will notice that there is a “Maintenance B” hatch that opens up. Use the Maintenance Key to head down and climb down the ladder.
Walk across the hallway opposite the ladder and you will notice two computers and a 3D Printer. A silencer will be on the table ready for you to pick up. You can now equip the silencer from your inventory.
The other silencer is available as soon as you start your campaign. As soon as you spawn, open the emergency kit and equip the items that you need. Search every box in the area to gain essential items.
One of the boxes has a chance to contain a silencer. If you missed it because you forgot to check all the boxes, you need to head back to the crash site and the boxes should still be there.
The crash sites are unfortunately random, so you need to find the location of the crash site on your own. You can head to all three spawn locations by following the video below to find the first silencer.
Now that you have both silencers, you can use your pistol without alerting enemies and keep yourself safe against the mutants, cannibals, and demons in Sons of the Forest.
