The Entropy Centre

New British indie studio Stubby Games have announced during today’s Future Games Show that they’re partnering with Playstack on the development of The Entropy Centre, a first-person puzzle game with time-bending elements that’s set to launch this year on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One and Xbox Series X | S. Check out the debut trailer at the top of the page.

The Entropy Centre focused on protagonist Aria, as she awakens on a colossal space station, the titular Entropy Centre, to find there are two immediate problems. Firstly, the Earth has been decimated by an extinction level event. Not fun. Secondly, the entire station has been left abandoned and is on the brink of collapse. Also not fun.

Partnering with ASTRA, a talking gun that can move objects through time, Aria travels through the maze-like space station, solving puzzles and avoiding hazards in an effort to reach the centre’s core. There, she’ll hopefully discover the mystery behind Earth’s destruction and The Entropy Centre’s descent into disrepair, and maybe even find her way back home.

Stubby Games founder Daniel Stubbington said the following about The Entropy Centre in a press release: “The Entropy Centre isn’t pulling any punches. This is the game that I’ve wanted to craft for a long time and I can’t wait to see players delve into this crazy time-manipulating world that I’ve created.”
