Last night’s Inside Xbox episode brought with it a huge amount of announcements, largely concerned some killer additions to the original Xbox backwards compatibility line-up. However, it wouldn’t be an Xbox livestream without some mention of PUBG, and last night was no exception.

Earlier in the day, it had been confirmed that PUBG’s second map, Miramar, would be coming to the Xbox One next month, but before then, they’re looking to entice new players into getting involved. With that in mind, they’re holding a Free Play Days event on Xbox One from April 19th.

All Xbox Live Gold members will be able to download PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds for free from 12:01pm PDT on April 19th until 11:59PM on Sunday April 22nd. That’s 7:01pm on April 19th until 6:59am on Monday April 23rd. Any battle point earned by players in this time, which is the currency used to purchase customisation items, will be carried over should you choose to purchase the full game.

Speaking of customisation items, it was also announced that PUBG would be getting a limited time clothing pack called “PUBG5”, to celebrate the milestone 5 million players on Xbox One. The clothes, which you can see below, are designed to complement the Varsity Jacket that was free for all players last month. It’ll only be available from April 19th to May 19th, and will cost $6.99 in the US. Expect it to be the same in the UK because fuck the exchange rates.
