Pokémon Center London Returning Next Year For Pokémon World Championships

All hell breaks loose again in 2020.

Pokemon Go Pikachu

Following the absurd success of the Pokémon Center London, The Pokémon Company has announced that it will be making a return next year to coincide with the Pokémon World Championships.

The first pop-up store in London saw overwhelming demand, leading to stock shortages and ridiculous queues. Its timing before the release of Sword and Shield may have had something to do with the massive anticipation, but come on — this is Pokémon we’re talking about here.

With 30,000 visitors descending on the pop-up store during its limited run, you have to wonder how high the numbers will go for the on-site store at the Championships.

The Pokémon World Championships feature tournaments for both the Pokémon video games and TCG. A venue in London has yet to be announced.

Are you going to chance it next year? We salute your bravery if so.

Pokémon Sword and Shield are out now on Nintendo Switch.
