ATLUS have announced that Persona 5 Royal has managed to sell over 1.4 million copies worldwide since its launch on PS4. The news was revealed by Gematsu, who also announced that the total sales for Persona 5 Scramble: The Phantom Strikers, which is currently only available in Asia on PS4 and Switch, have reached 480,000 units. No Western release date has been announced yet.

This news follows on from the announcement that Persona 4 Golden, which launched on PC via Steam last year, managed to shift over half a million copies since launch. With all these sales figures combined with the series’ history, the Persona series has now managed to sell 13 million units globally.

Persona 5 Royal launched on PS4 in the West back in March 31st, 2020, after launching in Japan and Asia the year previously. The Royal version of the game is a complete overhaul of the Persona 5 experience, adding a wealth of new content, characters and more to the game. Have you been playing Persona recently?
