It’s been one of our most hotly-anticipated horror games of 2017, but Outlast 2’s release date has never really been all too clear. Originally slated for release late last year, it was delayed to a tentative Q1 2017 release window instead.

Nothing’s been heard about it, leaving some people to question if it would be delayed again. That is, until now. Red Barrels have revealed that Outlast 2 will be out on April 25th for PS4, Xbox One and PC. It’s actually landing in Q2, but heck, I can let it slide.

Here’s the synopsis:

“Blake Langermann, a cameraman working with his wife Lynn, must take risks and dig deep to uncover the stories no one else will dare touch. As the two follow a trail of clues that started with the seemingly impossible murder of a pregnant woman known only as Jane Doe, the investigation leads them miles into the Arizona desert to a darkness so deep that no one could shed light upon it, and a corruption so profound that going mad may be the only sane thing to do.”

A bundle, Outlast Trinity, was also revealed. It will be distributed by WB Games and feature Outlast 2, Outlast, and the Whistleblower DLC.

We were happy with the game when we had our first impressions and have even had a sneaky listen to the game’s soundtrack. Now we wait to see if Outlast 2 can deliver the goods and get us all making use of our special licensed underwear.
