Nintendo Porting The Legend Of Zelda: Skyward Sword To The Switch

Where's Wind Waker, cowards?

Nintendo have announced that, in celebration of Zelda’s 35th Anniversary this year, they’re porting The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword to the Nintendo Switch. The motion controls for the game have been brought over to the Joy-Cons if you want them, but there’s also button only controls if you would rather play with a Pro Controller or handheld.

No word yet on if popular games like The Ocarina of Time, Majora’s Mask, Wind Waker or Twilight Princess will be making their way to the Switch, but if Nintendo can port Super Mario 64, Sunshine and Galaxy, they can pull their finger out for Zelda.

The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword HD is coming to the Switch on July 16th, with pre-orders going live later today. There’s also some pretty sweet blue Joy-Cons themed after Skyward Sword that’ll be available on the same day.
