Next-Gen NBA 2K21 Gameplay Reveal Looks Incredible

Holy crap, this looks beautiful.

NBA 2K21

2K Games have revealed what next-gen gameplay will look like for the upcoming basketball sim NBA 2K21, and holy hell, it looks phenomenal. You can check it out for yourself above if you like, and you probably should because the level of detail is brilliant. The footage was captured via PS5, though we can expect the Xbox Series X version to look just as good.

So What’s So Special About It?

While the character models themselves have clearly been improved and look fantastic, particularly with regard to their facial animations, they’re not the main focus of the next-gen upgrade, as areas both on and off the court have been improved immeasurably.

The crowd surrounding the court, the dribbling animations, the beads of sweat forming on the faces of the players, the way the net moves as someone scores and the sheer amount of character models on screen during pre-game and half-time presentation: all of these factors contribute to create the most life-like basketball experience on the market.

How Can I Get My Hands On It?

The next-gen version of NBA 2K21 will be available on Xbox Series X/S on November 10th, the same day that the console launches worldwide. As for PS5, it’ll launch on November 12th when the console launches in the US, Japan, Canada, Mexico, Australia, New Zealand and South Korea, and November 19th for the rest of the world. Just be warned, as you’ll be paying a premium to experience it, especially if you’ve already bought the game on PS4 or Xbox One.
