Yakuza: Like A Dragon

We’re less than a month out from the launch of Yakuza: Like A Dragon, and SEGA are really ramping up the hype campaign for the upcoming game, as they’ve published a new trailer showcasing some of the next-gen features that Xbox Series X/S users can benefit from on November 10th. Chief among them? “Next-gen crustacean A.I.”

Wait, What?

Yeah, you read that right. One of the biggest features coming to Yakuza: Like A Dragon is “next-gen crustacean A.I.”, with the above trailer showcasing a rather bold lobster, which exudes a menacing purple aura, performing an M.Bison-esque Psycho Crusher on an unsuspecting scuba diver. It looks absolutely bonkers, so it’s another normal Tuesday for the world of Yakuza, I guess.

What Other Next-Gen Features Are Being Promised?

On top of the advanced lobster tech, Yakuza: Like A Dragon promises the chance for some immersive role-playing, while the video cuts to some adult men in nappies being coddled. Ryu Ga Gotoku Studio and SEGA are pretty wise to the madcap nature of Yakuza too, with the promise of even more “highly shareable shenanigans”.

Yakuza: Like A Dragon will launch on November 10th for PC, PS4, Xbox One and Xbox Series X/S, with Smart Delivery support for Xbox One owners, meaning you can buy the game at launch and carry your game over when you purchase the new consoles. Meanwhile, the PS5 version is set to launch in March of next year.
