Nintendo have announced that they will be broadcasting a brand new Super Smash Bros. Ultimate stream that’ll feature 35 minutes of information and gameplay regarding the next DLC fighter. The stream is scheduled for Thursday 16th January at 6am PT/ 2pm GMT.

With 35 minutes of information and footage, it’s possible that Nintendo are ready surprise launch the 5th character of the first Fighters Pass. It’s also possible that Sakurai will offer details on the additional DLC fighters that’ll be launching after the Fighters Pass, as it’s already been confirmed that even more DLC fighters on the way.

As for who this new DLC fighter could be, all things are possible, though the prevailing theory is that we’ll see Devil May Cry’s Dante join the series. The Devil May Cry Twitter account has already noted that fans of the series should pay attention to some news dropping on January 16th, though this could just be a coincidence.
