Capcom have announced that Devil May Cry 3: Special Edition will be launching on the Nintendo Switch on February 20th, completing the HD re-release trilogy as the first three games will be available on the handheld platform. Just saying, if Capcom can swing Devil May Cry 4 on the Switch as well, I wouldn’t say no.

Devil May Cry 3 serves as a prequel for the franchise, chronicling the rivalry between lead character Dante and his twin brother Virgil. Devil May Cry 3 also introduced the style system, which allowed you to set a preferred combat style before each mission, including Gunslinger, Swordmaster, Trickster and Royal Guard. The system was then refined in later games, allowing you to switch styles on the fly.

The Special Edition also allowed players to play through the entire game as Dante’s brother, Virgil, who came equipped with his own weapons and abilities, and re-tooled the game’s difficulty settings. This version of the game also added additional boss fights and the brilliant Bloody Palace survival mode.
