New Soulcalibur 6 Trailer Reveals Nightmare, Kilik, Xianghua And Newcomer Groh

soulcalibur 6

So today, of all days, I published an brief article on some things I’d like to see in Soulcalibur 6. After seeing this news, I wish I had thought of “Nightmare riding a damn horse into battle”. But I’m getting ahead of myself here.

A new trailer for Soulcalibur 6 has been released, showcasing four additions to the roster. The first, the newcomer Groh, is the double sword wielder seen at the end of the debut trailer. He looks to be an assassin of sorts, utilising swift attacks to devastate his opponents. He also sounds like an edgelord, so I already kind of love the guy.

But now we get to the returning favourites, starting with the Azure Knight himself Nightmare. Sporting his trademark Soul Edge, Nightmare is his usual big swinging, high damage monster. He also has a Critical Edge attack where he rides a damn horse and cleaves you with his sword. It’s beautiful.

Xianghua and Kilik also make a return, and for the most part, they look pretty similar to have they have in previous games. Same basic combos and whatnot, which is good news for anyone who mains either of those characters. Kilik, however, does have something different though: he becomes possessed by the power of Soul Edge, unleashing an enormous cinematic attack on the poor unsuspected Xianghua. It’s unclear whether or not this is something unique to Kilik or if this is an ability that all characters can tap in to. Either way, this Evil/Shin/Violent Kilik looks badass.

If you want to see more, check out the trailer below. Are you excited for Soulcalibur 6? Anyone else reading this a Maxi main, waiting for him to be announced? Sound off in the comments.
