The first two Mafia games were both mighty fine examples of how to take the basic open-world city formula and add in a deep, rich, narrative-driven experience. So Mafia III, which is coming a full six years after its predecessor, certainly has the potential to be one of the best games of 2016.
Set in New Bordeaux, a fictionalised version of New Orleans, Mafia III puts you in the shoes of Lincoln Clay, a Vietnam War veteran, as he tries to rise to the top of the criminal underworld. Haden Blackman, known for his previous Star Wars-related work over at LucasArts, is directing the game.
Publisher 2K Games released a new trailer showcasing the character Cassandra, AKA the Voodoo Queen, and you can watch the video for yourself in the player below. It seems like we can look forward to meeting a very interesting cast of characters when Mafia III launches on PS4
