Warhammer II

SEGA have announced that a new DLC pack is coming to Creative Assembly’s strategy game Total War: Warhammer II. The pack, titled The Shadow & The Blade, adds a brand new campaign, along with new factions, characters, units, and more. Check out the debut trailer below.

In The Shadow & The Blade, which is playable via both the Eye of the Vortex and Mortal Empire campaigns, the daemonic Tz’arkan, also known as The Drinker of Worlds, has latched itself onto the mind of the powerful Malus Darkblade, creating a deadly alliance of sorts. To combat this, the Nightlord of the Skaven Clan Eshin has sent their best assassin, Deathmaster Snikch, to investigate the potential threat.

The DLC adds two playable factions to the game, Clan Eshin and the Dark Elf faction Hag Graef, along with the aforementioned lords Snikch and Darkblade respectively. You’ve also got a host of new units to play around with, including Highbeast Masters, Bloodwrack Medusas and more.

The DLC release also coincides with a free content update that adds the lord Rapanse de Lyonesse and the hero Henri Le Massif to the Bretonnia faction, along with some quality of life changes that decrease the wait between enemy turns by up to 60%, depending of course on game state and PC specifications. The Shadow & The Blade will launch on December 12th on Steam for the reasonable price of £6.99/$8.99/€8.99, and you can pre-order now to save 10%.
