New Details Revealed About Mortal Kombat 11’s Closed Beta

Netherrealm Studios and Warner Bros. have revealed more details about next week’s closed beta for Mortal Kombat 11, including start times, content and the five characters that’ll be playable. The beta will be available to those who have pre-ordered the game for PS4 and Xbox One via selected retailers. Sorry, PC and Switch players.

The closed beta will start on Wednesday, 27th March at 15:00 GMT in the UK, or 11:oo AM EST, running through until Monday, 1st April at 07:59 AM GMT or 03:59 AM EST. During that time, you’ll be able to play as Baraka, Kabal, Scorpion, Jade and Skarlet.

As for modes, the beta will include online battles, obvious, along with the Towers of Time challenge mode. Players will also be able to experience the Custom Character Variations System, allowing them to fully customise skins, gear, special abilities, intro and outro animations, along with Brutalities.

If you’re looking to play online, a PlayStation Plus or Xbox Live Gold membership will be required, though you’ll still be able to access the single player content and customisation tools.
