Need For Speed: Hot Pursuit Reportedly Being Remastered

Calling all cars.

A new VentureBeat report has shed some light on the EA games that’ll be coming to the Nintendo Switch by the end of the year. We already know about Burnout Paradise: Remastered, FIFA 21, Apex Legends and EA Original Lost In Random, but their report suggests that a Need For Speed: Hot Pursuit remaster will also be coming to the Switch, along with PC and other consoles.

Need For Speed: Hot Pursuit launched in 2010 as a reimagining of the classic cops versus racers dynamics, proving to be one of the year’s most popular games. Granted, it’s not quite Burnout Paradise, but it served as a great replacement considering EA don’t appear to be doing anything else with that series. It was even developed by Criterion, so it shared the same pedigree.

The other two games scheduled to come to the Nintendo Switch from EA are Plants vs Zombies: Battle For Neighborville, and an unannounced EA Original title from Velan Studios. All in all, there’s plenty of EA games for Switch players to be excited about (excluded FIFA 21), and a Need For Speed: Hot Pursuit remaster sounds like a lot of fun. Will you be picking it up? Sound off in the comments.
