My Friend Pedro Is A Totally Bananas Switch and PC Shooter

It’s been in the pipeline for a long while, but last night saw My Friend Pedro receive the spotlight in a big way at Devolver Digital’s E3 2018 conference. If it isn’t already on your watchlist, you’d be bananas (sorry) not to now.

My Friend Pedro is the demented work of Deadtoast, who seems to have nailed the appeal of taking part in a ballet of death. Most people will instantly liken it to The Matrix, but for my money, it has more in common with the criminally underrated Equilibrium in terms of ridiculous and reckless action. Also, limbs.

Check out the trailer for it below:

“My Friend Pedro is a violent ballet about friendship, imagination, and one man’s struggle to obliterate anyone in his path at the behest of a sentient banana. The strategic use of split aiming, slow motion, and the stylish window breach create one sensational action sequence after another in an explosive battle through the violent underworld.”

Here’s a tonne of screens:

So, in short, My Friend Pedro is a game about you committing a lot of murder at the behest of a banana. That’s all you need to know to realise that it’s going to be one to watch out for when it launches early 2019 on PC and Switch.
