NetherRealm Studios have announced that they will be hosting a free trial weekend for Mortal Kombat 11, where players will be able to sample various aspects of the game without paying for anything. The catch? It’s only for PS4 and Xbox One players. Check out the announcement trailer from the official Mortal Kombat YouTube account below.
The free trial, which runs from October 11th until October 14th, will include the first two chapters of the fantastic Story Mode, 1v1 and online 1v1 matches with the full roster, The Krypt, Fatality Training and the Towers of Time mode, where players will be able to sample the Kombat Pass characters Terminator, Nightwolf and Shang Tsung.
As with most free weekend events, the game will be on sale, with Mortal Kombat 11 receiving a 40% discount, which is ideal if you’ve been on the fence about purchasing the game since its release back in April. On top of that, all progress made during the free weekend will also carry over to the full game should you make the purchase, so if you haven’t got involved yet, now is the ideal time.
