Mortal Kombat 11

It’s been rumoured for the longest time, but it’s finally ready to be unveiled. During The Game Awards show, NetherRealm Studios announced the long awaited Mortal Kombat 11, the next instalment in their popular franchise, and boy, does it look gorier than ever. We’re so ready for the global launch on April 23rd, 2019.

Announcing the game at The Game Awards is a new one for NetherRealm Studios, as they usually announce their games around E3 time, giving themselves just under a year to ship the game after an announcement. If anything, this announcement shows how much bigger The Game Awards have become over the past few years.

Mortal Kombat 11 will be available to pre-order from tomorrow, and doing so will give you access to the beta before the game launches in April. You’ll also unlock access to a certain emperor of Outworld. Even more interestingly, MK 11 will be launching on all platforms, including the Nintendo Switch, meaning you can rip Kombatants heads off while on the bus or when taking a dump.

The Game Awards 2018 is currently underway, here’s a quick FAQ.
