Mortal Kombat XI Leaked Ahead Of Time

Perhaps an announcement at The Game Awards is imminent?

For those of you who were disappointed to not see Mortal Kombat XI get announced around E3 as was expected, you might just get your wish after all. According to Spanish voice actor Lalo Garza, Mortal Kombat XI is being worked on right now, though it might be missing fan favourite characters Kung Lao and Reptile if his tweet is to be believed.

Pink Noise Studios, the company Lalo is tweeting about, are localisation specialists. It’s possible Lalo was working with the company but unfortunately his characters got cut from the game, which is a shame because I always thought that Kung Lao’s big dumb buzzsaw hat was pretty cool.

This isn’t the first time that the existence of Mortal Kombat XI has been confirmed, as earlier this year at the Mo Game Con convention, as former Johnny Cage actor Daniel Pesina confirmed that both his brother and some students of his are performing motion capture for the game.

Many have begun to speculate that an announcement at The Game Awards is likely, and we’ve got our fingers crossed for an MK XI reveal too, if nothing else than because we delight in seeing what new fatalities and brutalities the folks over at NetherRealm Studios can come up with. Just, don’t put jump scares in the Krypt again. I’m too much of a coward for it.
