Don’t you just love it when you write an article predicting Soulcalibur VI DLC characters then one gets announced basically contradicting everything you wrote? In fairness though, 2B is such a perfect fit that it was almost criminal of me not to include her on the list, but that’s beside the point.
It was announced over the weekend that 2B from NieR: Automata would be the second Season Pass character for Soulcalibur VI, joining Geralt as the game’s second guest character to boot. As guest characters go, 2B joins an esteemed list including Link, Spawn, Ezio and Darth Vader.
From the trailer above, it looks like 2B’s fighting style is going to be tough to deal with, utilising her Pod for ranged attacks, along with her summoned weapons and some teleporting for good measure. Just put that all on a created character obscured by a giant apple and online is going to be fun.
No release date has been confirmed for 2B yet, but she will include a new arena, new music, new weapons and some additional creation items, including an outfit based on Kaine from the original NieR and Emil’s giant head that you can plonk on your created freaks. It’s fair to say we’re excited for this new addition to the roster, and if you’ve been looking for any excuse to replay NieR: Automata, here it is.
