Min Min From ARMS Is A Departure From Traditional Smash Characters

It's a god damn ARMS race.

Min Min

Nintendo have revealed that the ARMS character that’ll be joining the Super Smash Bros. Ultimate roster is Min Min. The announcement was made during a special livestream reveal, and you can check out the reveal trailer for yourself below.

In the presentation, Min Min’s gameplay and abilities were also revealed, and she’s a huge departure from normal Smash Bros. characters. Her two extendable arms are controlled with the A and B button respectively, meaning she loses most special attacks that other characters can utilise. The benefit, however, is that she’s able to extend her arms in both directions simultaneously, making her dangerous in larger fights.

She still has access to specials, with down+special allowing to switch the ARMS gadget she has on her right arm, while up+special is your standard recovery move. Her Final Smash also gathers the ARMS roster together to lay the smackdown on whoever gets hit by it. The Spring Stadium Stage is also included as part of the Min Min Challenger Pack, and features drones which deliver items, and bounce pads that alter the landscape of the map. 18 songs from the ARMS soundtrack will also be added to the game, including two new arrangements.

Paid Mii fighter outfits will also be launching on June 29th, including Heihachi from Tekken, Vault Boy from Fallout, fellow ARMS character Ninjara and Splatoon characters Callie and Marie. It’s a bit of shame to see Heihachi basically unconfirmed as a standalone character, but a Vault Boy outfit is pretty cool all the same.

The Min Min Challenger Pack will launch on June 29th, and will be the first character as part of the Fighter Pass Vol. 2. Will you be playing as Min Min? Be sure to let us know in the comments below.
