Please don't overlook What Remains of Edith Finch.

Like free or free-ish games? Then today (May 7th) is your lucky day as a PlayStation Plus subscriber with the addition of the new titles for May 2019, which, it’s fair to say, haven’t gone down too well with everyone.

First up is What Remains of Edith Finch, which is an absolutely brilliant narrative-based game that many have immediately disregarded without even playing. Those who have played it, however, know that it’s a game that you don’t forget in a hurry. I won’t spoil anything here, but I will say that you should absolutely give it a couple of hours of your time.

The supporting act for the month is Overcooked from Ghost Town Games, which, yeah, you might be allowed to be a little underwhelmed by, owing to the fact that it has been on sale since the dawn of time for pennies and even has a sequel. Regardless, if it’s a PS4 co-op game you want that will tear you and a loved one apart, you really could do far worse.

Overcooked

Don’t forget that PS3 and Vita games are no longer available as part of PlayStation Plus, which costs £6.99/$9.99 a month or £49.99/$59.99 for 12 months. You get games like these included with your subscription and also online play for multiplayer PS4 games (though not all require it) alongside cloud saves.

May 2019’s PlayStation Plus games are available from May 7th as it’s the first Tuesday of the month, which is always the day when new PS Plus game become available. They will be up for grabs until June 3rd; next month’s games will be released on June 4th.

Which game from May 2019 are you looking forward to playing the most? What do you think of the picks overall?
