Bring back Max Steel, by the way.

Marvel’s Avengers has two different systems that determine how strong you are: Power levels and Hero levels. But what’s the maximum level you can get to for the latter?

The max Hero level in Marvel’s Avengers is 50. You can level up by gaining XP from completing missions and objectives, as well as defeating enemies. Certain gear that affects your Power level can also affect the rate at which you earn XP.

With each new Hero level, you will unlock a skill point that can be used to give your Avenger new techniques across Hero Abilities, Intrinsic Abilities, and Defensive Abilities until every one is unlocked at level 50. It’s worth spreading your skill points across each of these so that you have a balanced Avenger.

At some point during Avenger progression, you will also unlock Mastery Skills that will allow you to more broadly customise your playstyle to help with Strike Team composition.

To level up quicker, taking on more difficult missions will award you with more XP. Your Hero level in Marvel’s Avengers is designed to take a lot longer to grow than your Power level, though you will level up quickly by simply completing the single-player campaign.

Marvel’s Avengers is available for PC, PS4, Xbox One, and Stadia. PS5 and Xbox Series X versions will release sometime down the line.
