Mario Kart Tour Getting A Closed Beta Next Month (In The US & Japan)

No Europe beta though.

Mario Kart Tour

Nintendo’s next foray into the world of mobile gaming, Mario Kart Tour, will be getting a closed beta next month, with sign-ups available right now on the Nintendo website. The catch? The beta is limited to Android devices, and registration is only available in the US and Japan. Guess us Europeans will have to do without.

Applications are live from now until the 7th May, with the beta set to go from May 22nd to June 4th, though there’s no guarantee you’ll be getting in as spaces are limited. Nintendo will randomly select participants if there’s too many applicants.

Having been announced in February of last year, Mario Kart Tour suffered delays back in January as Nintendo stated the game needed some additional polish. The full release is scheduled for Summer 2019, and it’ll be interesting to see how the classic Mario Kart gameplay will translate to a mobile environment. Are you excited for Mario Kart Tour?
