Square Enix and DONTNOD have announced that Life Is Strange 2, the follow-up to the supernatural cult classic narrative game, will launch on September 27th, 2018 for PC, PS4, and Xbox One.

The sequel will follow the same episodic format as the original game and its spin-off, Before The Storm, and will feature five episodes. The first episode will be available on September 27th with the rest to follow at unannounced dates.

Apart from that, Square Enix and DONTNOD are fairly tight-lipped on Life Is Strange 2, though more will be revealed this August. Max won’t return, according to DONTNOD, as the game will feature an all-new cast of characters and powers, as well as a new setting.

Elsewhere in the Life Is Strange universe, The Awesome Adventures of Captain Spirit will launch for free on June 26th for PS4, Xbox One, and PC. A full-fledged game in its own right, Captain Spirit will connect to the events of the Life Is Strange franchise and have 3-4 hours of playtime.
