The PS5’s DualSense controller sometimes isn’t the best option for every game out there, or maybe you just don’t like it for certain genres. With mouse and keyboard support on PS5, it’s easy to get around that issue. It might not be very well known, but the PS5 allows a keyboard and mouse to be used instead of a controller.

If you’re looking for games to play on your console with a keyboard and mouse, or for guidance on how to set up your mouse and keyboard for your PS5, then you’ve come to the right place.

PS5 Keyboard and Mouse Compatible Games

As of today, there haven’t been any PS5 exclusive releases that are compatible with mouse and keyboard. But, thanks to backwards compatibility, it’s possible to play some PS4 games with the PS5. That could mean better aim in an online FPS game, or a different way to parkour through the rooftops of medieval Paris in Assassin’s Creed Valhalla.

Keep in mind, though, that multiplayer games played with a keyboard and mouse will make you play only with PC players, for fairness’ sake.

Since not all games are playable with a keyboard and mouse on PS5, a list of which ones are compatible might come in handy:

Assassin’s Creed Valhalla
Call Of Duty: Black Ops Cold War
Call Of Duty: Modern Warfare
Call Of Duty: Warzone
DC Universe Online
DayZ
Elder Scrolls Online
Final Fantasy XIV
Fortnite
Neverwinter
Overwatch
Planet Coaster
They Are Billions
Warframe

We will update this list when new keyboard and mouse compatible games come to PS5.

How To Set Up Keyboard and Mouse For PS5

Before managing your Planet Coaster park with the comfort of a mouse and keyboard, you need to set your devices up.

For that, make sure that your mouse and your keyboard fit the USB ports in your PS5. To be fair, you shouldn’t be using a PS/2 cable anymore anyway, so you’re probably fine.

Connect the devices to your console and wait for the PS5 to recognize them. After that, you’re done, unless you want to configure your mouse and keyboard. In that case, go to Settings, then Devices, and customize them as you wish. Bear in mind that wireless keyboards aren’t properly supported on PS5 just yet.

Now, launch any game that supports keyboard and mouse and game on.
