Kenny Omega Will Not Be At AEW Double Or Nothing 2022

According to a certain Observer.

A major update has been released regarding Kenny Omega’s status for AEW’s upcoming Double or Nothing pay-per-view. ‘The Cleaner’ has been missing from action since the start of the year due to unfortunate injuries that had accumulated during his successful run as AEW World Champion, however after he dropped the title to ‘Hangman’ Adam Page, it was high time that Omega took some well-earned time away from the ring.

Fans have been buzzing to see Kenny return to an AEW ring, but according to reports, he will not be returning anytime soon, especially not at Double or Nothing. Despite the fact that Omega has been present at tapings of Dynamite and Rampage, Kenny is yet to be medically cleared and he is nowhere near 100%.

Question marks remain over his status for AEW’s cross-event with New Japan Pro Wrestling, but if anything, it’s likely we’ll only see Kenny in a non-competitive role, perhaps as a commentator or even just to cut a promo updating die-hard fans on his progress towards returning. This would be a perfect chance for the inevitable Omega/Adam Cole feud to be stoked, giving way to a huge babyface comeback when Kenny is eventually cleared to return.

So unfortunately, the odds of seeing Kenny Omega this weekend are slim to none, but hopefully when he does return to AEW, he’ll be stronger and better than ever before.
