Good Shepard Entertainment have revealed that John Wick Hex, the game adaptation that serves as a narrative prequel to the popular action film series, will launch on Windows PC and Mac via the Epic Games Store on October 8th. To celebrate, here’s a new trailer.
In John Wick Hex, developed by Bithell Games, you control the titular assassin as he takes on a brand new antagonist in the form of Hex, voiced by Troy Baker. Ian McShane and Lance Reddick will also be reprising their roles as Winston and Charon respectively.
Instead of a first or third person shooter, John Wick Hex plays like a strategy game, as you pick certain actions to move through the environment, taking down enemies. As each action takes time and has a certain level of risk, you have to effectively manage the firefight, creating an experience that feels more like the action scenes from the films. It’s certainly a far cry from Thomas Was Alone, that’s for sure.
John Wick Hex will cost £15.99/$19.99 on the Epic Games Store, with a console release planned at some point in the future. Are you excited to be the Baba Yaga? Let us know in the comments.
