Hitman 2: New Leak Suggests Agent 47 Is Setting His Sights On E3 2018

The pre-E3 leaks have been very unforgiving this year. First it was Rage 2, then Assassin’s Creed Odyssey and Devil May Cry 5 were hit with internet leaks. It seems like every big developer is getting their secrets revealed before E3 even begins. The latest to be struck by the leak apocalypse is none other than Warner Bros. Games and IO Interactive.

WB Games recently struck a publishing deal with IO to publish the latter company’s popular Hitman series. The series recently made an astounding comeback in 2016 with Hitman, an episodic video game that put players back in the shoes of Agent 47. The Macgyver of assassins has had his name in the rumor mill for awhile now, with fans expecting a sequel to the game to release at some point.

Now, thanks to a leaked logo for Hitman 2 (now removed) appearing on the Warner Bros Games Live website, we now have more striking evidence that a follow up to the 2016 success is real, and quite possibly coming sooner than we think.

Along with the logo leak, the official Hitman Twitter account recently released a tweet teasing some sort of Hitman related announcement for June 7. That date just so happens to be the same day that WB Games is broadcasting their pre-E3 event.

It was honestly just a matter of time before a game as big as Hitman 2 was leaked, but it’s good to see that WB Games and IO don’t seem too fazed by it. For now, this is all still a rumor, albeit a very convincing one. We’ll just have to wait until June 7 to find out more about Hitman 2 and when exactly we can start playing it.
