Halo: The Master Chief Collection Joining Game Pass Next Month

During today’s Inside Xbox presentation at Gamescom 2018, it was announced that Halo: The Master Chief Collection will finally be joining the Xbox Game Pass library from September 1st, but the good news doesn’t stop there.

On the same day, the Collection will also receive a new update that includes a host of improvements, including Xbox One X support, offline LAN, improved matchmaking (which most will remember was god damn awful), faster load times (which were also bloody awful) and more. It’s going to be a completely different game soon, and we’re completely okay with that.

The Master Chief Collection includes Halo: Combat Evolved Anniversary Edition, Halo 2: Anniversary, Halo 3 & 4 in one bundle, with campaigns, multiplayer and 4’s Spartan Ops included. It’s not been confirmed whether or not ODST will also be included in Game Pass, as it was released as separate DLC for The Master Chief Collection, but it’s pretty cheap anyway. You should probably just download it regardless.
