Hey, who remembers DayZ? One of the progenitors of the multiplayer survival genre that inspired games like Ark, Rust and more, DayZ has been in development for years now, with the game still in early access on PC. Meanwhile, other survival games have been and gone, leaving DayZ lost in the shuffle.
Still, Bohemia Interactive have been working on the game this whole time, refining the PC experience and promising an Xbox release eventually. Today, they’ve announced that DayZ will be joining the Xbox Game Preview program on August 29th. Check out the debut trailer right here.

DayZ on the Xbox One will bring the usual zombie survival and “online players giving you shit” gameplay that you can expect at this point. Considering it’s launching in Game Preview, expect the experience to be ropey at best during the first couple of weeks. Or months. Who knows?
