Rockstar Games have announced that the long-awaited Diamond Casino & Resort will be open for business in GTA Online from July 23rd, which will grant access to new missions, new activities, new vehicles, clothing and more. Check out the debut trailer below.
Most obviously, the Casino update will give players access to a variety of gambling activities, including Three Card Poker, Roulette and Blackjack. You can also try your luck on the slot machines or the Inside Track virtual horse racing. You can even spin the Lucky Wheel to try and earn new items like a supercar that changes every week, with the first week offering a Truffade Thrax. Guests can also visit the Casino Store to purchase some high-end fashion.
Atop the The Diamond sits The Penthouse, a purchasable property that unlocks access to VIP privileges, including high-limit tables and a variety of vehicle services. Players will also unlock access to a bunch of new missions, where you help The Diamond’s owner Tao Cheng protect the casino from a “corrupt family of Texan petrochemical magnates”. First-time completion for each mission unlocks special rewards, and completing every mission will net you a new vehicle.
As a bonus for Twitch Prime subscribers, anyone who links their Rockstar Social Club account with Twitch Prime will be able to purchase The Diamond’s Penthouse for free. They’ll also receive $1.25m in in-game currency, along with a 15% increase in cash from purchased Shark Cards. Be quick though, as the bonuses will end on July 19th.
