In a surprising bit of news, Sony and miHoYo have announced that Aloy of Horizon fame will be coming to Genshin Impact totally for free.
Aloy, who will next been in Horizon Forbidden West on PS4 and PS5, is a famous hunter who was last seen in another F2P game by the name of Fortnite that you might be familiar with. In Genshin Impact, she will be a 5-star unit called “Savior From Another World” Aloy (Cryo).
All you need to unlock her is to reach Adventure Rank 20 and log in to Genshin Impact at two different points, one PlayStation exclusive and one not.
Genshin Impact Aloy Release Date
Aloy will first be available to PS4 and PS5 players only on October 13, 2021 05:59 UTC+8 with the release of Version 2.2.
Following that, players across all platforms (including PC and mobile) will be able to unlock Aloy for free in Genshin from November 24, 2021, 05:59 UTC+8 with the release of Version 2.3.
This is a pretty big collaboration, and a welcome one at that, especially with Aloy being 5-star. Expect to see her pop up in other games the closer we get to the release of Forbidden West, which is tentatively still scheduled to release sometime in 2021.
Genshin Impact is available now for PC, PS5, PS4, iOS, and Android.
