The cube that slowly but surely made its way across the majority of the Season 5 Fortnite map before changing Loot Lake drastically in Season 6 may not be done just yet. That’s according to a dataminer, who thinks the cube will continue to grow.
Based on the files they found, this cache suggests that the cube is far from finished. There may even be more to the floating island randomly appearing on players’ maps than just the graphical glitch that Epic first claimed.

My (probably misinformed) theory is that it will eventually — perhaps once a week — traverse the island and use the runes it left behind somehow to continue swelling in size before eventually just falling on Junk Junction and destroying it forever. Please.
Alternatively, it could just continue to grow organically and change Loot Lake, perhaps eventually sucking up all its water and making it into Dusty Divot 2.0.
We’re only a day into Fortnite Season 6, so we shouldn’t expect to see anything from the cube just yet. It’s made some massive changes to the map already, so it’s probably going to be a bit quiet for at least a couple of weeks.
Speaking of Fortnite Season 6, we have a straightforward walkthrough on the Battle Pass challenges for the first week, as well as where you can find all the streetlights to dance beneath.
