Fortnitemares: Epic Tease Fortnite Halloween Event & Ghoul Trooper?

Fortnitemares

With the spookiest day of the year right around the corner, Epic Games have started to tease what we can expect from this year’s Fortnitemares: the Halloween tie-in for Fortnite.

A couple of cryptic tweets suggest that we will not only be seeing a new skin or two, but also that the mysterious cube will somehow be captured. If you’re playing right now, you’ll know that it’s up to all manner of madness and is currently wreaking havoc across the Fortnite map and is interfering with all of the runes left behind during Season 5.

What could this mean? Well, it seems as if they will be going all out for Fortnitemares 2018 judging by the fact that a lot of the map is currently decked out in Halloween spookiness and that players can currently ring doorbells just like trick or treaters. Quite how the cube will end up in chains will likely be revealed as part of an in-game event.

The language used in the second tweet is also worth looking into a little closer: the usage of “ghoul” suggests that we may be seeing a return of the Ghoul Trooper, which was first introduced during the first Fortnitemares and has become one of the rarest skins in the game as it hasn’t been seen since. With the return of Skull Trooper, it definitely isn’t out of the question.

We’ll have to find out for ourselves, presumably when the weekly patch lands tomorrow and brings Fortnitemares with it.
